About Job

This position will lead the function of Procurement of goods and services of our client and its subsidiaries and efficiently and effectively enable business units to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their business objectives. The incumbent will work with each business unit to lead centralized direct and indirect sourcing and procurement efforts, including procurement of services for logistics functions. The scope of responsibility related to logistics will include tendering and empanelment of logistics vendors, scheduling the logistics services based on agreed rates for successful order fulfilment.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop a top of the class supply base with credible and quality suppliers for various procurement needs of the company.
  • Development of organizational procurement strategy in line with the budgets and support the internal stakeholders get the best of products and services with latest specifications.
  • Consistently own and implement procurement SoPs and improve them in line with business needs.
  • Creation and management of short-, mid-, and long-term goals and objectives for accomplishment of smooth procurement process
  • Creation and improvement of best practice based processes for both Sales and marketing, SCM and all the support Departments of the company
  • Management of business process outsourcing activities including outsourcing of different Departments as per strategic decisions by the Management.
  • Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Selection and management of procurement systems as per category and type of business and procurement needs.
  • Management of procurement staff in (and across) sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities
  • Creating a talent management process in coordination with HR to ensure that the right resources are in place for procurement and also develop Department-wise leads for interfacing procurement functions.
  • Managing the skills and competency development of procurement staff, including training development and knowledge management capabilities
  • Leadership of cross-functional teaming across other business functions and initiatives for a responsible, accountable and transparent procurement system.
  • Budget management for categories under management – and for procurement itself
  • Development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement.
  • Use of digital tools and SAP/ERP for generating procurement analytics, reports and information required for management reviews.
  • Building a Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) to help transform Procurement, and also support broader transformation of the value chain and the enterprise.
