About Job
The role is responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies for branding sales promotion & ensuring they are efficient and effective. This vacancy at DGM grade will act as the connect between the field marketing and corporate’s crop and product management. This individual in turn will monitor and guide 26 regional/zonal marketing managers. These RMM/ZMMs will again have dual reporting to the sales organization and to head of field marketing. Even as the Budget allocation rights rest with the corporate strategic marketing teams, however this individual will drive the approval and utilization of these regional and zonal budgets totaling to almost 6.5 crores annually.
Job Description
Strategic Responsibilities
- Formulate the overall field marketing budget, based on the overall sales / business plan and inputs from the Marketing team, Field Sales, etc.
- Develop, plan and drive implementation of marketing strategies in coordination with the concerned stake holders like Field Sales, Marketing, etc.
Operational Responsibilities
Branding & Product Marketing
- Ensure seamless implementation of product launch activities, in collaboration with Product Development, Product Managers and Field Sales team (for example, pre-launch activities, coverage plan, roll out of launch activities, follow up actions, post-launch activities)
- Drive effective roll out of planned demand generation initiatives in the field, in coordination the Marketing and Field Sales team (for example, demonstrations, field days, product campaigns, crop campaigns, farmer meetings, dealer / channel partner meetings , branding & visibility initiatives)
Marketing Reviews & Feedback
- Evaluate effectiveness of sales promotion schemes (for example, dealer feedback, customer feedback, competitor schemes and offering) and incorporate changes to schemes as required.
- Review and provide guidance to Marketing services in the designing and delivery of promotional content, banners, audio-visuals, etc.
- Conduct regular studies pertaining to customer satisfaction, product pricing, new product development & advertising effectiveness, to capture market / customer insights and feedback.
Reporting
- Define, track and publish to relevant stakeholders performance of key metrics for Marketing (for example, marketing spend plan vs. Actual, product sales vs. marketing spend, effectiveness of marketing campaigns (reach / customer feedback), competitor product performance, key market updates)
Others
- Ensure compliance to statutory & organization policies including safety, health, environment & audit, for all marketing initiatives (for example, labelling requirements, communication material, content)Ensure resolution of all escalated issues in Marketing Department.
Financial Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective marketing spends for Agri Inputs Business.
