This individual must have had an overall of 15-18 years of experience in the Electronics Industry with latest 5+ years in versatile operations management role with excellent team handling exposure. Must be good at managing team members with diverse experience and backgrounds. Must be capable of driving changes through the organization in an aggressive manner. Experience of working in a family-owned proprietary concern would be an added advantage. In order to meet the critical objectives of hiring for this role, this person should be extremely strong in applying lean and six sigma principles towards increasing the efficiency of the company’s operations and should have proven ability in managing the same in his current and previous stints.
Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for managing e2e operations function for client company which is into Electronics Component distribution
- Manage all functions from Sales quote, procurement, warehouse, logistics to drive efficient operations
- Take ownership for P&L from an Operations perspective
- Drive regular cadence for reviews to look at operational metrics
- Drive Kaizen/ Lean Six Sigma programs for enhanced efficiency
- Drive change in culture and work environment for improved performance of individuals and teams
- Manage HR, IT functions as well.
- Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse / manufacturing facility efficiencyHelp the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of Business Development/ RFP/RFQ processes
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles to drive efficiencies in operations management
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent communication skills
- Good People Leader
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
