Product Manager who will be focusing on Hot Pepper, Okra and Gourds (some of the largest crops in portfolio. Job Description
Must Haves for the role: Overall, 6 to 10 years of experience in agri input sector with must have experience in:
- Sales of agri inputs in team lead/territory/regional level role
- Few years of experience in sales/marketing/product development of Vegetable seeds, esp Hot pepper, Okra OR Gourds
- Should have managed strategic marketing roles like Product Management/ Portfolio Management/ Crop Management at corporate in any of the agri inputs
Job Description:
- Budgeting for Product promotion/ Marketing communication material of various allocated crops as per market need.
- Manage the product range within each respective geographical location: collaboration with the sales and developments in terms of market positioning and new product launches.
- Coordinate research and development activities of new varieties in collaboration with research, supply chain, logistics, development and sales department as well as internal and external distribution channels.
- Provide support to the local sales and development teams, in particular during new product launches the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product.
- Sales data analysis collected from various sources and prepare standard reports like sales forecast, sales tracking, market analysis etc.
- Product management- Define and execute everything related to the strategy and implementation for brand positioning in the market.
- Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the field force is kept upto date on new developments regarding the companies or competitors’ products.
- Define, develop and implement strategies and tactics to achieve sales volume and profitability expected, careful positioning and brand equity.
- Researching and evaluating new product opportunities, demand for potential products and customer needs and insights.
- Market intelligence- be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria, be the expert on your competition and it marketing strategies
- Sales training need analysis, content development and its execution.
