About Job


The client company is looking for General Manager-Marketing for its Marketing Department. The purpose for the role is “Product Life Cycle Management”. He will be handling a 3-4 cr of Marketing Spend while managing up to 3 product managers for respective product clusters. Our client has a versatile portfolio of Open Pollinated varietal seeds for wheat, paddy, maize, Oils seeds (mustard) and also includes Vegetable, Pulses, Forages Seeds, making it a 100 crores business in seeds which is poised for exponential growth.

Job Description


Relevant and total years of experience and behavioral attributes 

Experience of 15-20 years preferably in Agri Input Industry 

 

Should have: 

Working experience in product marketing, STP, GTM strategies. 

Showcasable examples of Goal settings, planning and execution. 

Hands on exposure of analytics in Spreadsheets. 

Learning attitude & Knowledge of plant nutrition, physiology and Seeds are desired. 

Sector Domain Knowledge of agriculture, SND, Seeds and farmer behavior. 

 

Strategy & Business Planning: 

 

Accountabilities 

  • Analyze consumer behavior and market trend to design profitable and growth-oriented marketing strategy
  • Increase market share of products- On Ground, Digital, Phygital, Creatives etc.
  • Design and monitor competitive product pricing and branding strategies. 

 

Key Performance Indicators 

  • Timely Preparation, Monitoring and adherence of AOP in line with the Budget
  • Achievement of Contributions Margin 

 

Marketing: 

 

Accountabilities 

  • Build marketing models with parameterized projections for gaining customers / consumers.
  • Prepare and manage marketing budgets - monthly, quarterly, annual budgets. Lead product marketing managers, providing strategic direction for STP and 4Ps planning of different products. 

Key Performance Indicators 

  • %age Market share increased
  • % Revenue Target Achieved 

 

Branding : 

 

Accountabilities 

  • Refresh brand message across all channels and maintain brand consistency in marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material).
  • Develop channel branding strategies - franchises, retail outlets, modern retail etc.
