A dynamic professional with 20+ years of experience in Process Design, Development of New Products, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Costing, CAPEX Planning & execution - Setup production line for new product with Automation, Greenfield Projects, Team Management and Technical Solution. S/He will be experienced Process Design of complicated Gears & Shafts for Automotive (EV Transmission) parts Off highway application with critical processes like Laser Welding, Induction Hardening, Gear Grinding twist & Waviness control , Spline Rolling - specialized Heat Treatment process cycle for distortion prone parts. Detailed knowledge of Quality systems – Design gateway system for Project review & at each stage of Development. Able to act as liaison to clients to understand and define their specific, needs & delivering those solutions through the Process planning & interfacing with customer for regular update -resolution of all key action points.
Job Description
Key Role and Resposibilites:
- Execution of project with defined objectives for Quality, Cost & Delivery.
- Preparation of Business Case for New Projects – Investment proposal for infrastructure, machines, equipment, manpower required.
- Design single piece flow line for high volume parts with Automation & define floor plan with inventory points & optimum batch size for medium & low volume parts
- Interfacing with customer for New Business acquisition & project management
- Vendor Development for new parts - Material management at ramp up stage
- Managing the PPAP documentation process, Define PFD, Leading CFT (for preparation of PFMEA, SOP, Control plan, SPC & MSA Study & PPAP Submission)
- Imparting training to maintenance and production team for setting and troubleshooting of machines in the projects
- Managing the technical assistance for the fixture & tooling design & designing Poka Yoke for new parts
- Providing the technical leadership and solutions for engineering problems
- Leading productivity improvement, technology up-gradation of existing machines & Kaizen implementation
- Advising and guiding in maintaining budgets, manpower and equipment requirements
