The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated track record of employing a process-oriented approach to meet business objectives encompassing volume, time, cost, profit, service, and organizational goals. The candidate should possess expertise in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling operations, along with adept negotiation skills and experience in managing industrial relations issues. Proficiency in implementing changes related to technology, equipment, production, and process methodology/systems is essential.
Job Description
The candidate should exhibit excellent interpersonal and analytical skills and have a proven ability to lead and manage plant operations even in adverse circumstances. Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives such as TQC, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, lean methodologies, team building, and shop floor training is highly desirable.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute plans and processes aimed at minimizing manufacturing costs by optimizing the utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Manage spending within budget constraints and adapt to changes in production volume.
- Enhance manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
- Foster the adoption of new techniques and promote fact-based problem-solving approaches, encouraging constructive input and action from all employees.
- Continuously improve safety standards by addressing physical safety concerns and cultivating positive employee safety attitudes, while ensuring high standards of housekeeping across all areas.
- Keep abreast of the latest production management concepts and maintain individual skills accordingly.
- Define, implement, and oversee best practices, policies, and programs aligned with organizational strategy and priorities.
