Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Contribution: Actively participate in management forums, gather vital market intelligence, and collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to shape and refine business strategies.

• Supply Chain Leadership: Provide visionary leadership in overseeing procurement, commercial seed production, processing, foundation seed management, planning, logistics, import-export operations, and customer care across the supply chain.

• Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and optimize critical supply chain processes, fostering collaboration across departments to meet inventory, quality, sales, and cost objectives.

• Budget Management: Develop, establish, and meticulously monitor supply chain budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while identifying opportunities for significant savings.

• Logistics and Transportation: Strategically manage logistics infrastructure and transportation networks (road, rail, sea) within and beyond India, including the selection and management of service providers such as suppliers, 3PLs, 4PLs, and contract manufacturers.

• Performance Metrics: Establish, monitor, and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, inventory management, service levels, cost control, and compliance.

• Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing, motivated team by implementing succession plans, offering training opportunities, and conducting regular performance evaluations.

• Safety and Compliance: Uphold environmental safety standards and health protocols, ensuring they are communicated to all service providers. Conduct periodic audits of processing plants and production locations, and ensure full compliance with labor laws, health, safety, environment (HSE) standards, and industrial relations requirements.

• Contract Manufacturing: Implement and oversee contract/toll manufacturing models, ensuring they meet all regulatory compliance standards.

• Reporting and Analysis: Generate insightful reports on supply chain activities, conduct thorough reviews, and drive continuous process improvements. Support green initiatives and ensure responsive and timely market actions.

• Quality Assurance Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Head of Quality Assurance to ensure the timely completion of sampling, quality assessments, and the delivery of quality clearance results.
