Key Responsibilities of Principal SDET:

1. Test Strategy Development:

   • Design and implement end-to-end testing strategies that align with project objectives.
   • Define and document best practices and methodologies for testing frameworks.

2. Automation Framework Design:

   • Lead the creation and maintenance of scalable, reusable test automation frameworks.
   • Ensure these frameworks are optimized for maintainability and team-wide use.

3. Mentorship and Leadership:

   • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs and QA engineers.
   • Cultivate a culture of quality within the development and testing teams.

4. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
   • Integrate testing within Agile processes to align testing with the development lifecycle.

5. Test Planning and Execution:

   • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and scripts for various testing types (e.g., functional, regression, performance, and security).
   • Execute testing to validate application quality and functionality.

6. Continuous Improvement:

   • Identify and drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and practices.
   • Advocate for quality and integration of CI/CD practices.

7. Performance Testing:

   • Plan and conduct performance and load testing to ensure application scalability and stability.

8. Reporting and Metrics:

   • Analyze and report on test results, communicating progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

9. Tool Evaluation and Implementation:

   • Research and implement new tools and technologies for efficient testing.
   • Keep updated with industry trends and advancements.

10. Quality Advocacy:

    • Promote a quality-focused mindset across the organization.
    • Ensure quality assurance principles are integrated at every stage of development.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in software testing.
• Strong experience in Manual testing and automation testing
• A person should have strong experience in Java, Selenium, and cloud technologies like AWS (as the client has deployed code on AWS), and testing frameworks.
• Experience in Generative AI for testing
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline.
• Problem-solving skills, and Quick learner.
• Experience in Web testing, API testing, and Integration.
• Experience in technical coaching to the team.
• Decent communication skills - should be fluent in speaking and understanding English.

The candidate should be a quick learner with strong problem-solving abilities.

Location: This position is based in Hyderabad, and candidates should be willing to relocate within 15-30 days.
