The incumbent will assist in developing, planning, and executing strategy, M&A advisory, market and competitive intelligence, and commercial due diligence. Responsibilities include conducting deep market studies, building financial models (NPV, IRR, DCF, etc.), and preparing reports for leadership. The role involves analyzing industry trends, competitors, and business models to identify opportunities and risks. Additionally, the individual will engage with industry networks to spot growth prospects, build forecast models, and navigate regulatory guidelines.
Job Description
Key Deliverables:
- Conduct market studies across various industry segments to assess market attractiveness, competitive intensity, key drivers, and long-term demand/supply trends.
- Build financial models and develop business plans/reports to support business priorities and strategic objectives within the Chemical, Agri, and related sectors.
- Provide market and competitor insights to Management for informed decision-making, alternative planning, and understanding the impact of specific mandate proposals.
- Offer analytical support by conducting industry research and compiling data for strategic partnerships or potential M&A opportunities.
- Analyze and summarize target companies’ business models, strategies, industry scenarios, and key risks for Management’s review.
- Engage with the broader industry ecosystem to leverage networks and partnerships, identifying potential future growth opportunities.
- Develop forecast models using key drivers, trend analysis, and external factors to guide strategic decisions.
- Monitor the accuracy and predictive validity of existing financial models, ensuring relevance of metrics and business drivers in forecasts.
- Perform detailed financial calculations including NPV, IRR, Payback Period, Cash Runway, Cash Burn, DCF, and other investment analyses.
- Track and maintain performance and operational reports for ongoing engagements.
