The General Manager – Sales & Marketing will lead commercial growth for the Probiotics and Nutraceutical business in the Human Healthcare segment, focusing on revenue, market share, and business expansion across domestic and international markets. Based in Western India, the role entails designing and executing strategic and operational plans to achieve short- and long-term goals. Key responsibilities include developing sales strategies, identifying new opportunities, managing performance, forecasting, and overseeing client credit and commercial data. The position emphasizes strong customer relationship management, engagement with key clients and partners, and gathering market insights for product development. On the marketing front, the role drives brand positioning, strategic campaigns, product launches, and digital outreach, while aligning with R&D to leverage technical strengths into market advantages measured through brand reach, ROI, and conversion ratios.

Job Description


Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

  2. Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to maximize productivity and performance.

  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion avenues.

  4. Ensure accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking for informed decision-making.

  5. Drive efficient credit management to reduce collection cycles and ensure timely payments.

  6. Maintain and update commercial and credit rating data for existing and prospective clients.

  7. Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, partners, and decision-makers.

  8. Gather customer insights and market feedback to support product development and improvement.

  9. Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for the Probiotics and Nutraceutical divisions.

  10. Lead brand positioning, visual identity, and the creation of marketing collateral and digital assets.

  11. Drive digital marketing initiatives including SEO/SEM, website content, social media, and email campaigns.

  12. Coordinate and execute product launches, seminars, webinars, exhibitions, and customer engagement programs.

  13. Monitor market intelligence, competitor activity, and emerging trends to refine business strategy.

  14. Recruit, train, develop, and manage a high-performing sales and marketing team with a collaborative culture.

  15. Prepare and manage sales and marketing budgets, analyze performance metrics, and deliver timely reports using data-driven insights.
