The General Manager – Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a key leadership role responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and optimization across the supply chain. Serving as the link between Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics, the role ensures fast, cost-effective, and reliable product availability. It drives the S&OP process, aligns supply and demand, maintains inventory health, and improves working capital through data-driven planning. Key responsibilities include forecasting, inventory optimization, procurement alignment, logistics planning, and analytics-based decision-making. The role manages S&OP cycles, rolling forecasts, FG levels, and PSI/WOS tracking while minimizing non-moving stock. It involves close collaboration to mitigate material risks, align production, and enhance dispatch, warehousing, and OTIF delivery. The position also leads automation and digital initiatives using AI/ML tools for process excellence and a resilient modern supply chain.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Lead the S&OP cycle by consolidating forecasts and aligning cross-functional plans.

Translate market insights from Sales into actionable demand plans.

Maintain and refine a rolling 12-week demand plan with accuracy improvements.

Optimize supply decisions to balance service levels and overall cost.

Ensure optimal FG inventory across warehouses to maintain high service performance.

Monitor PSI, WOS, and channel fill rates to maintain healthy inventory flow.

Drive liquidation strategies for non-moving and slow-moving inventory.

Use analytics to improve inventory turnover and enhance working capital.

Align procurement triggers and production schedules with demand priorities.

Identify material risks early through advanced visibility and tracking dashboards.

Facilitate smooth weekly and monthly planning cycles across functions.

Plan dispatches with regional teams to ensure cost-efficient and timely delivery.

Optimize warehouse space, stocking norms, and safety stock requirements.

Work with transport partners to improve OTIF, route efficiency, and logistics cost.

Build dashboards, lead automation initiatives, and standardize SCM processes across plants and depots.
