About Job

Head Legal is a Strategic Leadership position within client organization and will be responsible for providing Legal and strategic inputs to the various businesses of client organization towards safeguarding the interest of the company in litigation and compliances while supporting the business with drafting contracts, agreements, documents on need basis. This individual will be acting as advisor to the Board/Sr. Management on critical issues involving risk management w.r.t prevailing laws of the land in business operations, marketing, statutory compliances, ESG and general business environment.

Job Responsibility

  1. Directing  legal  matters  by  instituting  systems  &  practices  to  secure  best  interests  of  the organization
  2. Structuring,  drafting  &  vetting  all  contracts,  agreements,  legal -commercial  documents,  court pleadings, plaints & notices
  3. Design  Litigation  Strategies  in  line  with  business  and  commercial  objectives  and  attending  the legal proceedings in all type of cases PAN India in all courts & Tribunals /forums.
  4. Render advisory on compliance, legal amendments/notifications
  5. Act as a Strategic business partner to general and upper management
  6. Provide guidance to HR on employee related issues and in drafting HR policies
  7. Lead various legal & statutory matters like preparation of plaints, written statements and replies of the complaints filed by competitors, consumers , authorities and other parties
  8. Evaluation, Monitoring, Progress and Review of pending cases and providing guidance/directions for quick disposal
  9. Administer various matters related with due diligence required by Financial Institutions, Banks & Investors
  10. Savelegal  cost  and  expensesby providing  self/in-house  drafting  &  vetting  of Agreementsor Contracts and legal commercial documents, notices and reply to notices
  11. Leaddiligent strategic planning to reduce and close litigations and reduce their occurrences
  12. Resolve  Intellectual  Property  Rights  (IPR)  issues  including  infringements,  passing  off  actions, filing counter statements/evidences etc
  13. Collaborate with the IT Team for design, implementation and monitoring of IT Portal to maintain and  monitor  the  Litigations,  Notices,  License  &  their  renewals,  Periodic  returns,  and  published periodic reports to management
  14. Laydown   process   and   procedures   for   litigations   arising   out   of   Food   Safety,   Consumer complaint, product and license non-compliances
  15. Training to business and operations team regarding basic legal aspects like acting on summons, notices, govt. officer visits, consumer complaints, marketing promotions etc.
