About Job
The client company is leading global crop protection company, looking for experienced candidate for the role- Head of Research and Development to lead the efforts of the research and development organization. The successful candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of lab and production scale process development of Chemicals (Crop Protection, Pharma or Fine Chemicals). He should have strong business acumen, be able to make decisions, work independently, and be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as organizational skills.
Job Description
Key Responsibilites:
- Manage multidisciplinary teams (chemists, analytical chemists, chemical engineers etc.) and lead the verticals of R&D including (a) Process Development, (b) Improving the efficiency of current processes, (c) Validation of the process and methods, (d) Strong analytical abilities – quantification and identification.
- Develop a high performing team driven by solid talent selection, training, development, and succession planning.
- Team Player with ability to motivate and engage his peers and subordinates.
- Managing all Operational aspects of the R&D site: Labs and Scale-up facility.
- Process piloting and scaling up for tech transfer package preparation for commercial production
- Establish a priority matrix for the R&D projects that support the short- and long-term work plan.
- Manage and monitor activities of process development and provide scientific guidance.
- Accountable for improvement and troubleshooting of existing processes within all stages of the product life cycle.
