The vacancy for Techno Commercial Lead – Sapling Production is a critical one towards meeting the ambitious production targets of 1 million saplings which over the period will increase based on capacity expansion and demand from the market. The individual will be the complete P&L owner of the client research facility that consists of a high-end tissue culture lab, complete with in-house capability for media preparation for Tissue Culture, its inoculation with the explant followed by sterilization, shoot multiplication through the development of Callus, Root Induction, Acclimatization and plant hardening through in-house net houses/greenhouses and then transfer to the nursery for sales.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- TC production management
- Process development / management
- Management of Hardening centers
- Logistic and asset management from TC to hardening center
Key Deliverables for the role:
- Budget preparation & management for both units ( TC LAB and Hardening centre)
- TC Target base production and improving plant survival efficiency
- Team management & development
- Efficient, low cost best quality Procurement of material along with purchase team
Role requirement:
- Minimum Experience – >12 years in Fruit Nursery or TC Lab management
- Educational Qualification – Msc Ag (any stream )
- Specific Knowledge Requirements-TC lab production / management skills ; Nursery plant production knowledge
- Key Competencies-Proficient in computer knowledge / Commercial think tank / basic acquaintance on budget making etc
