Our client company is seeking a highly qualified, competent, and seasoned Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in Project Management and Plant Maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a result-oriented and hard-core professional with expertise in Carbon plant projects and maintenance, including PP (Pulverized Petroleum), Kilns, ARS (Air Separation Units), and BP (By-product plants). They should possess extensive experience in manpower and spares planning, inventory management, SAP implementation, and utilization. The candidate will be responsible and accountable for effectively managing plant O&M activities in alignment with strategic business objectives.
Job Description
Responsibilities:

Carbon Plant Maintenance Management: Lead and manage the Carbon maintenance team and activities on a regular basis, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of equipment and facilities.

Budget Planning and Management: Plan and maintain departmental requirements within the maintenance budget (MACC - $3.5M USD), including yearly maintenance plans, schedules, and costing for major shutdowns.

Inventory and Spare Management: Oversee overall spare inventory management, purchasing activities, and investment committee approvals for major changeovers, ensuring availability of critical spares to minimize downtime.

Safety Compliance: Maintain safety parameters of the department, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to promote a safe working environment.

Project Management: Oversee and manage Carbon plant projects, from conception to execution, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints and meeting quality standards.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to align plant O&M activities with strategic business objectives, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.

20+ years of experience in Project Management and Plant Maintenance, with a focus on Carbon plant operations.

Expertise in PP, Kilns, ARS, and BP operations, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Proven track record in manpower and spares planning, inventory management, and SAP implementation.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members towards achieving excellence.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
