About Job
The Team Leader – Bio-Based Formulation Development (General Management- Research and Development) will drive applied R&D and innovation to develop sustainable, high-performance formulations for industrial applications. The role leads end-to-end product development—from concept to commercialization—leveraging expertise in formulation science, biotechnology, microbiology, and surface chemistry. It requires strong technical leadership to manage multidisciplinary teams, accelerate innovation, and deliver scalable, compliant, customer-focused solutions for global markets.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Develop High-Performing R&D Teams
- Mentor and guide multidisciplinary teams comprising formulation chemists, microbiologists, biotechnologists, analytical scientists, and application specialists.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and performance-driven research culture while strengthening technical capabilities.
- Drive Product Innovation & Development
- Lead end-to-end development of sustainable, bio-based formulations across diverse industrial applications.
- Direct formulation optimization, validation, performance enhancement, and successful scale-up for commercialization.
- Manage Research Projects
- Plan, prioritize, and monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and annual R&D activities.
- Ensure timely execution of multiple innovation programs aligned with business priorities and customer expectations.
- Strengthen Technical Excellence
- Provide scientific leadership in formulation science, surfactant chemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, and applied industrial chemistry.
- Guide literature reviews, innovation methodologies, experimental design, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Documentation & Compliance
- Oversee accurate laboratory documentation, technical reports, product specifications, SOPs, and project records.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, quality standards, and laboratory best practices.
- Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with commercial, marketing, and application teams to resolve technical challenges and develop customer-centric solutions.
- Translate market insights into innovative, scalable, and commercially viable formulations that enhance product performance and business growth.
